July 2024: Meet the Ugandan Staff

This July, we'd love to introduce you to the people in Kampala who are keeping this ministry going all year-round, our dedicated H3 staff who not only work hard with us but are also dear friends. Take a few minutes to get to know each one, skim their prayer requests and lift them up in prayer as the Lord brings them to mind. You may even choose to get personally involved to sponsor a portion of their salaries each month!

Robert Kalenzi - Project Coordinator

Robert is our H3 manager and keeps communication going between our countries! He manages many of the logistics of our travel as a team and works closely with New City Church and other partner organizations to plan our yearly medical camps. He devotes a lot of his time to his daughter Bella and is a vital part of New City Church.

Robert's Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, coordinate, and provide support to staff

  • Work as Secretary to the Board

  • Coordinate all project activities and ensure they are meeting the set objectives and goals

  • Provide spiritual support to staff and the people the organization works with

  • Ensure compliance with national regulations

  • Financial management

Prayer Requests from Robert:

  • God's guidance to have a Godly family

  • More opportunities for provision to meet personal and family obligations

Agnes Nansubuga (Mabel) - Health Coordinator

Mabel has been a volunteer at our medical camp since the very beginning! We've seen God at work in her life through very difficult circumstances and He has preserved her through danger and illness to be a faithful witness to our medical patients and their families. It's Mabel that manages our patient care and even works on skills training for those with long-term health conditions.

Mabel's Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate medical camp activities

  • Organise and conduct monthly prayer meetings for patients on H3's follow-up list

  • Supply patients on follow-up list with their monthly prescription refills

  • Provide counseling and guidance to patients

  • Assist patients in finding a church to attend

Prayer Requests from Mabel:

  • A stable job for my husband

  • God to enable me to complete my final year at university so that I can acquire my first University Degree.

  • That the Lord may provide for us to buy land and build our family a permanent home.

Mabel leads a constructive team debrief after the first day.

Eunice Biira - Education Coordinator

You may remember that Eunice was part of our internship program for young women, to give college graduates an entrance into an unbelievably competitive workforce. Well, Eunice proved herself to be an outstanding employee and we decided that she should come work for us when her internship was complete! Eunice manages all of our scholarship students and maintains relationships with all of their families and schools as well. She's developing a much-needed discipleship program with each student to aid them in spiritual growth alongside their educational growth.

Eunice's Responsibilities:

  • Provide counsel and guidance to students on sponsorship

  • Supply students on sponsorship with their school requirements and monitor their progress

  • Conduct weekly Christian student fellowships at two secondary schools

  • Support students to be part of a church and grow in faith and fellowship

Prayer Requests from Eunice:

  • Wisdom to learn and share more with the students

  • Spiritual growth

Eunice was just married two weeks ago!! We are so happy for her and her husband Sam. Congratulations to this happy couple!
